CARE’s Dance Class is designed specifically for older adults who want to move, connect, and build confidence in their bodies. Rooted in evidence-based fall prevention, this six-week series blends the therapeutic power of movement with the pure joy of music.
Each class supports balance, flexibility, coordination, and body awareness using gentle dance styles like ballet, jazz, tap, musical theatre, and chair-based yoga. Whether seated, standing with support, or moving freely, participants progress at their own pace.
The format is simple:
- Start in a chair.
- Stand while holding the chair.
- Move independently – only if and when you’re ready.
There’s no right or wrong way to move here. This space is free of judgment and full of encouragement. If you’re managing chronic pain, recovering from an injury, or navigating mobility challenges, you’re in the right place.
Expect throwback tunes that bring a smile, movements that meet you where you are, and a welcoming room of peers cheering each other on. We lean on repetition to build strength and introduce new combinations to keep it fresh.
Come for the exercise. Stay for the laughter. Leave with a little more balance, a little more strength, and a whole lot more joy!
